President/Partner
Mike Malone learned the art of painting from his father and spent his early career honing his craft while working in education. In 2022, he teamed up with business partner Pete to transform their skills into a sustainable, customer-focused business.
With his strong organizational skills, commitment to delivering on promises, and a friendly approach, Mike has played a key role in Malone Painting’s rapid growth. The company delivered nearly 300 satisfied customers in 2024 and expanded the team in 2025 to meet the increasing demand for high-quality painting services across the St. Louis area.
Mike is deeply committed to providing excellent service to homeowners and is proud of the impact Malone Painting has on the local community. Outside of work, he’s a proud father of two and lives in South City. He enjoys spending time outdoors, playing soccer, and discovering new, great places to eat.
CFO/Partner
Pete Weseloh is a lifelong entrepreneur with a strong focus on building businesses that prioritize exceptional customer experiences and cultivate great teams. From cutting grass and shoveling snow as a kid to building businesses with a dedication to customer service, Pete has always had an entrepreneurial mindset. With a background in public accounting, he has spent his career creating workplaces where employees are valued and customers feel cared for.
In 2022, Pete partnered with Mike to acquire Malone Painting, with a shared vision to elevate the company to one of the premier painting contractors in the U.S. As the financial and strategic leader, Pete focuses on driving the company’s growth while ensuring a seamless and efficient customer experience.
Outside of work, Pete is a proud husband and father of three, enjoys traveling with his family, and is a lifelong St. Louis sports fan.
Office Manager
With enthusiasm, dedication, and a can-do attitude, Jen Babb brings a well-rounded and thoughtful perspective to her role as Office Manager at Malone Painting. Since joining the team over a year ago, Jen has worn many hats, contributing across departments with flexibility and heart.
Her passion for outstanding customer service and her natural strength in administrative operations make her a perfect fit for this pivotal role. Jen keeps the day-to-day running smoothly while ensuring every client interaction reflects our commitment to professionalism and care.
Outside the office, Jen prioritizes family above all and cherishes spending quality time with her loved ones.
Production Manager
Jon Fields brings invaluable hands-on experience to his role as Production Manager, having started his career as a painter. His deep understanding of the craft—earned through years on the job—gives him a unique perspective that bridges the gap between field execution and project leadership.
Over time, Jon’s strong work ethic, attention to detail, and natural leadership ability elevated him into his current role. As Production Manager, he now oversees day-to-day operations, coordinates project timelines, manages crews, and ensures every job is delivered with the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. Whether it’s coaching his son’s baseball team, working on home projects, or grilling in the backyard, he values quality time with family and making the most of life’s everyday moments.

As a Sales Representative/Estimator, Jaren Underwood serves as the face of Malone Painting—building trusted relationships, driving growth, and ensuring every client receives a seamless, personalized experience from the first call to the final walkthrough.
Jaren brings a strong foundation of knowledge and customer care to his role. With a keen eye for detail, he offers more than just estimates—he provides guidance, clarity, and solutions that homeowners and businesses can count on. His professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care for each project have quickly made him a standout on our team.
Outside of work, Jaren values time spent with his wife and daughter, especially floating in a kayak on a Missouri river. Whether on the job or off, his authenticity and drive to do things right are unmistakable.
